Letter from Drake

I was going through my word documents today looking for something that I had written but could not find. I came across a school assignment that Drake had done and I decided to share it with you.

Legacy for Your Generation

Dear Chris,
This letter was written to you so that you can learn from the mistakes from your past generations. The first thing that I want you to try to get your generation to do is to stay honest. The second thing that I want you to learn is to stay active. I also want you to stay in school.
My generation hasn’t been the most honest generation. We lied about the littlest subjects to get ourselves out of trouble. Criminals would lie to the judge to try not to get jail time. If they were honest they would have had a far less penalty. I want you to understand that you get in less trouble if you tell the truth the first time around.
I want your generation to stay active so that you’ll stay away from drugs. If you stay active, you will most likely stay away from drugs. Drugs mess up your brain, which will affect your daily life. It will be tough to do the simple things in life, such as tying your shoes or getting dressed with drug use.
I also want you to stay in school. My generation had many people drop out of school. Those people who dropped out are either working at McDonald’s or out selling drugs. The people, who stayed in school all the way through college, are the teachers that you have. They are also the lawyers who are helping the bums stay out of prison. Your grandmother went to college for three years without getting her law degree. She was a very smart lady with a good job. If she had gotten her law degree she would have had a great job that paid over three times what she made. I want you to stay in school so that you can have that great job. School may seem like it is boring right now, but it will pay off in the long run.
Chris, I hope that you have gotten the message of my letter. I know that everyone will not change, but try to get as many people as you can. If you listen to the three things that I told you to, your life will be easier.

Sincerely,
Your father Drake

My first blog

This is my first attempt at blogging. Let me start off by saying that I have been sad the last few weeks. My boyfriend and I broke up. He is a great guy and I am crazy about him, but we are in two different places, not physcial, but emotional. This morning as I was driving to work, I was thinking about Drake and I started crying and then it hit me.... when this boyfriend has been out of my life for two years, I won't be crying about him, like I am Drake. I believe that I can find someone else to fill the part of my heart where he is, however, the part of my heart that holds Drake can never be filled by anyone else.

I am a hopeless romantic and I do believe that one day I will find love but I have decided that for right now I am just gonna focus on me!
